Baseball Puts League-Best 12 on Academic Honor Roll

EASTON, Pa. – Twelve Lafayette baseball players were claimed places on the 2013 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the League office announced Wednesday.

Eligible student-athletes must have earned a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher in the spring semester while competing in a winter or spring Patriot League-sponsored sport.

Eight of Lafayette’s 12 student-athletes honored with a spot on the Academic Honor Roll achieved better than a 3.6 GPA during the spring semester, led by sophomore Tim Lazor’s 3.93 in Mathematics & Economics. Junior Ben Meer (3.85) and freshman Cory Spera (3.83) were the highest in their respective classes, while senior Andrew Ruck earned a 3.74 GPA in Mechanical Engineering.
