EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette senior centerfielder Andrew Santomauro and freshman designated hitter/first baseman Alex Woinski were named Patriot League Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The duo helped Lafayette sweep a three-game series against North Carolina Central over the weekend.

Santomauro made the most of his final series, powering the Lafayette offense from the leadoff spot with a team-high eight hits and seven runs scored in the sweep. The North Caldwell, N.J. native hit his third homer of the season in the second game, which proved to be the winning run. Santomauro finished the season on a six-game hitting streak and had a team-best 12 multi-hit games.
Woinski hit .556 over the weekend to claim his first weekly honor. The freshman hit a team-high three doubles and drove in four runs in the three-game sweep against NC Central. The Paramus, N.J. native ended the season with a .326 batting average and 20 RBIs.
