2008 Maroon Club Spring Golf Outing Set For Friday, May 9

The 2008 Lafayette Maroon Club Spring Golf Outing will be held Friday, May 9 at The Club at Morgan Hill in Easton. Entries and sponsorships are being accepted for this day of fun and great golf. Simply use the application form available through the above link, send an email for further information or call the Maroon Club at (610) 330-5122.

The 2008 tournament features a four-man scramble format and two separate flights with shot-gun starts at both 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The morning flight includes a continental breakfast prior to teeing off as well lunch and prize ceremony following the round. The afternoon flight includes lunch before the shot-gun start as well as dinner and prizes afterwards. A 36-hole package is also available for the extreme golf enthusiasts.

Registration for the event and all fees must be received by Friday, May 2, 2008. The tournament is limited to the first 288 entries.

All proceeds from the Maroon Club Spring Golf Outing will go to financial aid for student-athletes, ensuring the continuation of excellence in Lafayette Athletics.

Ranked sixth in Pennsylvania for public golf courses by Golfweek Magazine, The Club at Morgan Hill offers a par-71, 6,749-yard Kelly Blake Moran designed course featuring dramatic elevation changes. Owned by Lafayette graduates Todd and Scott Van Cleef, Morgan Hill offers expansive views of the Delaware River, the picturesque river towns of Easton and Phillipsburg, the rolling farmlands of New Jersey, and the Pocono Mountains.
