Dickson '12 Continuing Career in the Minor Leagues

Former Lafayette pitcher now playing for the Potomac Nationals

2011: Did not play due to injury...Drafted in the 35th round (1,059th overall) in the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Chicago Cubs...Signed with the Cubs on Aug. 15.

2010: Made 18 relief appearances...finished the season with a 7.71 ERA...struck out 23 batters in 23.1 innings and walked only 10...picked up one save and one win...tossed an inning of hitless ball against Wagner (3/24)...struck out three batters in 1.1 innings of work at Delaware (4/1)...registered a season-best six strikeouts in 2.1 innings at Villanova (4/14)...gave up only one hit against Navy (5/1) and ended the season with a scoreless 1.2 innings out of the bullpen against Niagara (5/8).

2009: Made 15 relief appearances...led the squad with two saves...finished the season with a 6.23 ERA...struck out 17 batters in 21.2 innings...tossed four shutout innings at St. Joseph's (3/24) with four strikeouts...did not give up an earned run in two innings of work vs. Monmouth (4/8)...pitched one scoreless inning vs. Rider (5/6).
