QB Club News
Fellow QBs, With the help of Bill Wasylenko, we have published a newsletter each year. Bill and I spent a few hours in the College Archives and Special Collections section of Skillman Library poring through yearbooks and programs collecting photos and names of all Lafayette QBs. I learned a lot about Lafayette football and how young we looked in college. Bill is not a Lafayette alumnus, but he is a football fanatic and has several connections to Lafayette. He has done similar work with La Salle High football, my alma mater, and that is how I came to know Bill and his talent to research and chronicle the past.
The goals here are to unite former QBs to promote Lafayette football and create an interested group that avidly follows the current team. We are a special fraternity; a fraternity that has a limited and selective membership dating all the way back to the 1870’s. We share the experience of playing QB for Lafayette and the challenges and rewards that come with the position. Along the way, we are learning about the history of the QB position at Lafayette and about the ones who played before us.
Despite our best efforts, we are still missing many email addresses. Please let us know if you have contact info on any of the missing QBs listed in the newsletters. Bill and I need feedback — you know, just like when your receiver came back to the huddle and told you he was open on the play. Contact us at : email@example.com
