Easton, Pa. - Saturday was the Leopards cross country home opener against the Mountain Hawks in the Lafayette-Lehigh Duel. Sophomore Sarah Welsh-Huggins was honored as the Patriot League Runner of the Week following her first place finish at the meet.

Welsh-Huggins finished first with a time of 21:56.30 in the race.

This is Welsh-Huggins' second win of the season after suffering an injury last year that did not allow her to run most of the season.

Lafayette is back in action in the Paul Short Invitational on Oct. 2 at Lehigh University.
