EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette women's cross country team earned 2011 All-Academic Status, announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Lafayette combined for a 3.49 overall grade-point average and was one of five Patriot League schools on the list.

Only Colgate (3.54) posted a higher team GPA as Lafayette finished ahead of Lehigh, Army and Navy among the honored teams. To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

Of the 205 institutions represented, Alabama reported the nation's highest cumulative team GPA, with an average of 3.83.
