Cross Country Lands 18 on PL Academic Honor Roll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –
Lafayette’s men’s and women’s cross country programs combined for 18 selections on the Patriot League Academic Honor Rolls released by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League’s seven fall championship sports.

Freshman Emily Moore topped the 13 selections from the women’s squad with a 4.0 GPA as an Engineering major. Sophomore Colleen McGovern (3.93 – Chemical Engineering), senior Zoe Nagasing (3.90 – Government & Law) and freshman Erin Rome (3.83 – Chemical Engineering) also earned grade-point averages over 3.80, while senior Biology major Stephanie Benko, the Lafayette Female Maroon Club Scholar-Athlete of the Year, registered a 3.58 GPA in her final fall semester.

Sophomore Matt Weintraub led five honorees from the men’s squad, registering a 3.83 GPA while majoring in Neuroscience. Senior Physics major Thomas Day was close behind with a 3.77 GPA in the fall.
