Lafayette Closes Cross Country Season at NCAA District Regionals

Lafayette cross country closed the 2007 season by competing in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Saturday at Lehigh University's Goodman Cross Country Course.
Freshman Ryan Stasiowski rounded out a strong season by running the 8K course in 33:33 for 140th place. Stasiowski finished first among the Leopards in four meets and second in two more. He opened the season at Lehigh by coming in fifth at the Lehigh Valley Championships.
Sophomore Rose Kennedy led the women for the fifth time this season, placing 82nd with a time of 22:30. She beat her time on the course at the season-opener by 1:23.
The women finished 25th overall and the men placed 26th.
With the cross country season over, the team will now focus on its upcoming indoor track and field season. The Leopards open their season at home on Dec. 7 when they host the Lafayette Invitational.
