Moore and Millar Make Noise at Leopard Invitational

EASTON, Pa. – In the final race of the year before the Patriot League Championship for the Lafayette cross country teams, Emily Moore highlighted the day by placing fourth out of 53 runners in the Leopard Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Moore posted a time of 22:46.04 and that was a team-best in the women’s 6K race. Junior Katherine Millar (23:48.85) and senior Brigid McGill (24:28.59) also had a great showing, finishing in the top 20. Both Millar and McGill bested their previous times at Metzger.

Millar improved her previous time by over a minute, while McGill finished 13 seconds better than her last outing at the course. Overall, the women performed well and as a team went on to place third.

On the men’s end, sophomore David Sadvary led the way with a time of 28:12.13 in the 8K race. Junior Tyler Pressl was not too far behind Sadvary and crossed the finish line at 28:24.43.

With the regular season now behind them, the Leopards will look ahead to the Patriot League Championship on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m.
