Leopards Fall to Lehigh at Dual Meet
EASTON, Pa. – In Lafayette’s annual dual meet with Lehigh, the Mountain Hawks came out on top in both the men’s and women’s races on Saturday morning.
In the women’s 6K race, the Leopards were bested 44-18. Sophomore Emily Moore set the tone for Lafayette with a third-place finish. Her final time was 22:45.45. Caroline Harmon also finished in the top 10 after posting her time of 23:30.64.
The Lafayette men’s cross country team was defeated 50-15 by the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh posted the top 16 times of the race with Jack Curran leading the way with a time of 27:30.89. The first Leopard to cross the finish line was Tyler Pressl. His time of 28:27.64 was a team-best, finishing just ahead of teammate Nate Becker (28:57.44).
The Leopards will be competing again on Saturday, Oct. 1 in the Paul Short Invitational with the time still to be announced.
