EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's and women's cross country teams competed in the annual Lehigh Dual meet, facing off with one of the team's most storied rivals. Both teams finished second to the Mountain Hawks, but featured some strong individual performances.

The men opened the morning on the Leopards' 8K course at the Metzgar Athletic Complex. Junior Ed Dutch set the pace and came in a team-best fourth, posting a time of 27:01.6. Senior Nick Baldwin followed-up with an 11th place finish with a time of 28:03.1. Seniors Nick Birosik and Greg Swiatocha came in 16th (28:23) and 17th (28:27), respectively.

Lehigh swept the top the top three, led by junior Brendan Glover.

On the women's side, Lafayette turned in a solid performance in the 6K, placing three runners in the top five. Junior Lindsay Bryant led the cluster with a third-place finish in 22:10, while sophomores Frances Morro and Katie Schultes followed in fourth (22:18.1) and fifth (22:19.7), respectively. Rookie Kaela Mahon also finished in the top ten, placing eighth with a time of 23:07.2.

Lehigh's Andrea Luebbe and Sarah Seiler swept gold and silver with times of 21:54.7 and 22:02.5, respectively.

Lafayette returns to action at the Iona College Meet of Champions Saturday, Sept. 24 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
