Head Track and Field and Cross Country Coach Michele Curcio has announced the addition of Jen Curran to her coaching staff for the 2013-14 season. Curran will serve as the Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach.

"I am extremely excited for Jen to join our staff,” Curcio said. “Jen's coaching success over the last few years shows that she has a strong base of training knowledge and she will bring a great deal of energy to the middle distance and distance group.  Coming from Lehigh, Jen understands the type of student-athlete who will be successful academically and athletically at Lafayette."

Curran comes to Lafayette from Lehigh, where she held the position of Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach since 2010. During her time in Bethlehem, Curran coached seven All-Patriot League selections, 16 ECAC qualifiers, five IC4A qualifiers, three All-East performers and saw eight school records broken under her guidance. She was responsible for assisting with recruiting as well as meet management.

A 2010 Lehigh graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Curran earned a Master’s of Science in Sports Management from East Stroudsburg in 2011. As an undergraduate, Curran competed on Lehigh’s cross country and track and field teams and was honored with Lehigh Athletics’ Leadership Academy Suited for Leadership Award in 2010. Curran holds a Level I coaching certification from USA Track and Field.
Curran’s first day on the job is August 1.
