EASTON, Pa. - Twenty-three members of the Lafayette men's track and field team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To eligible, student-athletes must earn a 3.2 semester GPA while competing in a Patriot League sport with a winter or spring championship.

Recent graduate Michael Thompson '12 (Civil Engineering), rising senior Nick Carboni (Computer Science) and rising sophomore Andrew Warshauer (Chemical Engineering) led the way, each tallying a 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester.

Thompson, the 2011 Maroon Club Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, heads a roster of eight 2012 graduates on the Honor Roll that also includes Nick DeRosa (Government & Law/International Affairs, 3.43 GPA), Michael DiPietro (Electrical & Computer Engineering, 3.50), Nick Henderson (Biology, 3.77), Robert Napor (Computer Science, 3.40), Derek Ridinger (Computer Science, 3.66), Josh Sadlock (Civil Engineering, 3.80) and Mark Streisel (Mechanical Engineering, 3.22).

Carboni was one of five rising seniors to grab Academic Honor Roll laurels alongside classmates Nick Hepp (Engineering, 3.75 GPA), Ryan McVeigh (Engineering, 3.93), Dayne Mosconi (Mechanical Engineering, 3.80) and Nick Orzol (Electrical & Computer Engineering, 3.94).

 

 

The Class of 2014 was represented by Sam Brinton (Civil Engineering, 3.20 GPA), Derrick Hargwood (Civil Engineering, 3.68), Nicolas Marinaro (Engineering, 3.43), David Robinson (Anthropology & Sociology, 3.75), Tim Shaw (Mechanical Engineering, 3.46) and Drew Williams (Geology, 3.25).

The rising sophomores on Julio Piazza's squad are represented by Warshauer, Chris Castello (Engineering, 3.50 GPA), Juannell Riley (Government & Law, 3.75) and Alex Van Hoof (Biology, 3.43).
