McGuire Featured in Hometown Newspaper

EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette junior Seamas McGuire ended a 30-year drought this past June when he became the first Lafayette male in 30 years to qualify for the NCAA Track and Field Championships. McGuire competed in javelin and placed 21st overall, ending what was a highly successful season for the Weston, Mass. native.
McGuire, a Geology and Anthropology and Sociology double major, was the Patriot League Champion in the event after throwing a season-best distance of 210'4". He then went on to place sixth at the IC4A Championships in May.
