EASTON, Pa. - Senior Nick Orzol and junior Rose Willey of the Lafayette track and field teams were named to their respective Academic All-Patriot League Teams, the League announced Monday.

"For both Nick and Rose, the award is well-deserved," assistant coach Michele Curcio said. "The duo work extremely hard in the classroom and at the track. Rose and Nick are outstanding role models for both the women's and men's teams."

Orzol, a chemical and electrical engineering major, has held a 3.94 cumulative GPA during his time on College Hill. The Mercerville, N.J. native posted a 45' 5" triple jump mark, good enough for seventh at the Patriot League Championships on May 4.

A co-captain of the 2013 squad, Orzol was also a member of the 2011-12 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Willey holds a cumulative GPA of 3.88 as a Mathematics-Economics major. Hailing from Brookfield, Conn., the junior was the Patriot League champion in the 3000m Steeplechase, recording a time of 10:56.38.

Willey has been selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of the last three years.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.
