Three Tabbed to All-Patriot League Team

Easton, Pa. - Lafayette men's and women's track and field team each finished in seventh at the Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend in Lewisburg, Pa. Three Leopards earned All-Patriot League honors at announced at the conclusion of the championships.
Two-time Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week Rachel Pena garnered first team honors in the weight throw. Pena topped the conference in the weight throw surpassing the ECAC standard with a 18.87 meter (61'11") toss.
The All-Patriot League Second Team on the women's side is complete with Elise Buffinton in the pole vault. Also a two-time Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week, Buffinton nabbed second in the pole vault at the championship meet reaching a height of 3.60 meters (11' 9 3/4").
On the men's side, Chris Castello was selected to the Second Team All-Patriot League Team. Castello finished the championship heptathlon in a personal best second place.
Pena and Buffinton will travel to Boston, Mass. On March 8-9 to compete in ECAC Championships.
