- The Lafayette men's and women's track and field teams head into this weekend's Patirot League Championships looking to improve upon last year's seventh-place finish.

- Dave McGriff has been stellar all season for the Maroon and White, hitting IC4A qualifying marks in both the shotput and the weight throw. McGriff reached 18.08m (59’ 4”) in the weight throw at the Fast Track National Invite and hit a distance of 15.71m in the shotput at the Bucknell Tri-Meet. 

-The Leopards own the fastest women's distance medley relay time in the Patriot League this season, as the group of Alexa Kwapinski, Amy Hewlett, Crosby Spiess and Margaret Schiazza completed the event in 11:57.07 at the New Balance Invitational earlier this season. 

- The meet kicks off on Saturday with the men’s heptathlon beginning at 9 a.m., followed by the women’spentathlon at 9:15 a.m. Individual events begin with the men’s pole vault starting at noon. The championships will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the men’s and women’s 4x400-meter relay, scheduled to begin at 4:20 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively. The closing awards ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m.
