Jan. 30, 2009
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lafayette track and field team returns to Lehigh for the second week in a row to compete in the annual Lafayette-Lehigh Dual. Lafayette is coming off successful outings at the Great Dane Classic and Lehigh's Covert Classic last weekend. Thirteen student-athletes earned top 10 finishes among the Patriot League's season leaders.
Jessica Buzzell led all Leopards by posting 18' 4.5" in the long jump at the Covert Classic- the best jump in the Patriot League by a foot.
Margaret Bruno-Metzger owns the second best time in the mile (5:03.30), which she achieved in the Great Dane Classic. She already boasts the best finish in the conference for the 3,000m (9:57.23) at the NYC Gotham Cup on Jan. 16.
