GREENSBORO, N.C. - Junior Rachel Pena of the Lafayette track and field team competed in the NCAA East Regional Championships on the campus of North Carolina A&T University this past weekend in Greensboro, N.C.

Pena threw at a 179-foot mark, good enough for 13th in her flight in the preliminary stage and 26th overall. She did not qualify for the finals, as only the top-12 throwers in all three flights combined make it to that round.

Sophomore Brooke Plegler of Bowling Green earned the top spot with a heave of 210' 1".
