Three Qualify for Finals on Day Two of PL Track Championship

WEST POINT, N.Y. -Day two of the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championship have wrapped up, with Lafayette women sitting in sixth place, and the men in eighth.

Junior Rachel Pena posted the best result of the day, and finished second in the 20lb weight throw with a heave of 57' 8 ½". Teammate Gwen Steckel posted a sixth-place in the same event after throwing 52' 10".

The women's 4x800m relay also recorded a sixth-place finish. The team of seniors Kelly Senters and Jen St. Onge, junior Hallie Farber, and sophomore Grace Watters ran a time of 9:35.99.

Sophomore Rachel Douglas tied with Army's Morgan Rennekamp for sixth in the high jump. Douglas jumped 5' 1".

Finals qualifiers for the Lafayette women included freshmen Sally Trout and Dejana Harris in the 60m hurdles, and freshman Devin Smith in the 200m.

On the men's side, freshman Pat Donohue ended the day with a fifth place finish in the heptathlon. Teammate sophomore Chris Castello finished eighth in the same event.

The men's 4x800m relay team finished sixth. The team of seniors Will Volkmann, Dayne Mosconi, Chris Parker, and freshman Matt McMurray crossed the finish line with a time of 7:50.84.
