First Day of Patriot League Track & Field Championship Underway

WEST POINT, N.Y. –Day one of the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championship has concluded at the U.S. Military Academy. Two Leopards were competing on the first day of events.

Sophomore Chris Castello and freshman Patrick Donohue are both competing in the heptathlon, and are fifth and seventh, respectively, in the standings.

Castello’s highest finish came in the shot put, in which he placed third. Donohue’s best performance of the day came in the high jump, in which he finished second.

The men’s heptathlon will continue on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with individual field events beginning at 11 a.m.
