BETHLEHEM, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men earned a 93-88 win, while the women fell 99-82 at the Lehigh Dual Meet on Saturday. Patriot League Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Brian Vail won the 800m, and Jeffrey Sejour claimed victories in both the long jump and triple jump to lead the Leopards.

Sejour had leaps of 21-3 3/4 in the long jump and 46-3 1/2 in the triple jump, while Stephen Ekema-Agbaw was second in the event with a distance of 44-6. Tyler Jones (shot put, 51-8 1/2) and Jonathan Rowe (weight throw, 55-4 3/4) were also winners in the field events.

James Strada won the 60m dash in 6.5 seconds, and Thomas Blenk was first in the 60m hurdles in 8.2 seconds. Richard Jackson claimed the 500m race with a time of 1:07.3. Vail (1:58.2) won the 800m, with the 4x800m relay team winning by more than 10 seconds (8:02.7). Alex Wechsler posted a time of 4:21.9 to win the mile.

In the women's events, Larissa Bellamy had a strong day with a first-place finish in the weight throw (46-5 1/2) and second in the shot put (38-0 1/4). Pamela Glennon won the shot with a toss of 39-5 3/4, and Ashley Harbin was second in the weight (44-0 1/2).

 

 

Daria Szkwarko claimed another win in the pole vault with a height of 10-10 1/4. On the track, Meghan Baker ran the 800m in 2:24.9, and Brittany Waldron won the 1000m in 3:08.9. The 4x800m relay team edged out a win by 0.3 seconds, with a time of 4:08.4. Kisha Thomas sprinted to the 60m title (7.3 seconds).
