Two Leopards Qualify for IC4A , ECAC Championships

Margaret Bruno-Metzger and Adam Jones qualified for the ECAC/IC4A Championships after their top-three finishes in their respective events at the NYC Gotham Cup at the Armory Track and Field Center.

Bruno-Metzger finished third in the seeded section of the 3000m Run with a time of 9:57.23, which ranks second all time in school history. Jones posted a personal best in the triple jump (14.38m), which ranks fifth all time in school history.

The men's 4 x 800m Relay team of Paul VonHertsenberg, Rob Blum, Matt DeBlander and Sean Casey placed first out of 16 teams with a time of 7:54.89.

Freshman Chris Pregler finished fifth in the seeded section of the 800m while classmate Michael Thompson also placed fifth in the pole vault with a personal best of 14' 3 ¼".

Vicky Melroy threw for 14.36m in the weight throw to place fourth. Jessica Buzzell finished eighth in the seeded section of the long jump (5.58m).

The Leopards will split between two meets on Friday at the Covert Multis in Bethlehem and the Great Dane Classic in New York.
