Contact Coach Jackson:
Kareem Jackson begins his third season as assistant coach of the track team. He works with the sprinters, hurdlers, and jumpers. Jackson has coached two Patriot League champions, two NCAA Regional qualifiers, nine All-League performers, and 14 IC4A/ECAC qualifiers. He is certified by the USATF Level I and II in sprints and jumps, and has been a member of the United States Track Coaches Association since 2000.
Jackson came to Lafayette from the University of Chicago, where he served as an assistant coach working with sprints, hurdles, and jumps. Before that, Jackson taught middle school math at the Academy of St. Benedict the African, in Chicago, while also coaching the Dixmoor Dominators Track and Field Club and acting as assistant coach at Thornridge High School.
Jackson graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, where his track team was ranked in the top-15 in the country all four years he was there. He won a Great Lakes Valley Conference championship in the high jump in 1998, and earned all-conference honors in both the 110-meter hurdles and the high jump. He has a B.A. in mathmatics with a minor in economics.
