Twelve Men's Swimmers Claim Patriot League Academic Honor Roll Laurels

Cory Schutz '12 led the team with a 3.88 GPA

EASTON, Pa. - Twelve members of the Lafayette men's swimming and diving team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To eligible, student-athletes must earn a 3.2 semester GPA while competing in a Patriot League sport with a winter or spring championship.

Cory Schutz '12, who received a degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering in May, led all Leopards with a 3.88 grade-point average. Schutz was also a member of the Academic All-Patriot League team. Fellow graduate Stephen McCormick '12, a Mechanical Engineering major, tallied a 3.74 GPA.

Daniel Choroser heads a trio of rising seniors on the list. Choroser earned a 3.4 GPA as a Chemical Engineering major. James Kugel (Civil Engineering, 3.33 GPA) and Daniel Ladd (Engineering/Economics, 3.25) join him on the Honor Roll.

Four members of the Class of 2014 earned Honor Roll status: Sacha Broccard (Biology, 3.78 GPA), Adam Gill (History/Economics, 3.65), Ryan Himmelwright (Neuroscience, 3.58) and Joshua Hitchings (Biology, 3.43).

The rising sophomores on Jim Dailey's team are represented by Matt Jouny (Chemical Engineering, 3.68 GPA), David Woods (Chemical Engineering, 3.48) and Cory Heffelfinger (English, 3.35).
