EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Amanda Eggleston, Deborah Fink and Daniele Menard were all honored at the Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women on Tuesday afternoon at Moravian College.

Eggleston (field hockey), Fink (track and field) and Menard (swimming) were among 14 student athletes honored at the event, as all three received the award for the top athlete among area colleges in their respective sports.

As a four-year starter on the Lafayette field hockey team, Eggleston earned First Team All-Patriot League honors following a five-goal, three-assist senior season. The tri-captain midfielder also picked up the Lafayette Athletic Department's Charles L. Albert Trophy as the top female athlete in the Class of 2006 earlier this week. An Engineering major with a minor in Art, Eggleston managed a 3.26 grade-point average.

A captain for the Lafayette women's track and field team, Fink will be defending her 400m hurdle title at this weekend's Patriot League Championship meet in Worcester, Mass. A two-time Patriot League Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, Fink will also compete in the 4x400m relay. The Neuroscience major also won the 500m event at the 2005-06 indoor championships, earning placement on the league's first team. Fink, a Patriot League Honor Roll member, boasts a 3.52 GPA.

Menard ranks in Lafayette's top ten in three events, including the 100 breast (fourth), 200 breast (fourth), and 400 individual medley (sixth). The senior captain received the Patriot League's Award of Good Sporting Conduct later in the season after stepping in to coach and judge Lafayette's divers in a meet against archrival Lehigh. Menard posted a 3.6 GPA in the fall as Chemistry major.

All three members of the Class of 2006 are set to take part in Lafayette's graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 20.
