Jakub Pritz Named Patriot League Swimmer of the Week

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette senior Jakub Pritz (Holmes, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) was named the Patriot League Swimmer of the Week for his performance in the Leopards' dual meet against Colgate on Saturday.
Pritz collected a pair of individual first-place finishes, taking the 50 free and 100 free, and swam on Lafayette's winning 400 medley relay and 200 free relay teams. His four first places were the most for a Lafayette swimmer in a dual meet this season.
Pritz won the 50 free in 21.97 and the 100 free in 49.00. He is the current school-record holder in the 50 free and holds the third-fastest time in school history in the 100 free.
Pritz joined J.B. Worster, Colin Sinatro and Greg Van Volkenburg on the 400 medley relay that hit the wall first in 3:35.72. Stephen Connlain, Worster and Van Volkenburg teamed with Pritz to win the 200 free relay in 1:26.72.
Lafayette is back in action this Saturday, taking part in the Bison Invitational at Bucknell. The team returns to Bucknell for the Patriot League Championships on Feb. 24-26.
