Final Stats

EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette swimming and diving team hosted historic archrival Lehigh on Friday night. The Lafayette men fell short to Lehigh, 172-128 while the Lehigh women took a 213-83 win over the Leopards.

On the men's side, Cory Schutz took first place in the 100-yard- breaststroke with a time of 58.65 missing a school record by .04. Stephen McCormick came in at 51.79 for a first place finish in the 100-year butterfly.

Diver Todd Leone captured first place with 255.08 points in the one-meter and took third in the three-meter with 221.93 points.

On the women's side, Leah Goldberg took first place in the one and three-meter dives with 224.03 and 230.35 points, respectively. Arielle Blumenthal and Candice Prager also placed for the Leopards. Blumenthal took second in the one-meter and third in the three-meter while Prager placed third and second in the one and three-meter.

Alex Brannick touched the wall at 1:00.03 in the 100-yard backstroke to pick up a first place finish against Lehigh. In the 50-yard freestyle, Lauren Berry posted a time of 25.46 to pick up a first place finish as well.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Kathryn Schaefer came in first with a time of 5:18.84, while the 400-yard relay team of Kate Durkan, Brannick, Julia Harris and Berry also picked up the top spot with a time of 3:41.01.

The meet closes out the 2010 season as the Leopards take time off before heading down to Florida for their winter training.
