Davis Named Lafayette Fencing Coach

EASTON, Pa. – Helen Davis, an assistant coach at Swarthmore College this past season, has been named the new head fencing coach, Lafayette Director of Athletics Bruce McCutcheon announced Thursday afternoon.

"We are excited to have Helen Davis join our team has the new head fencing coach,” McCutcheon said. “Coach Davis brings a wealth of experience, drive and dedication to the job as evidenced by her successful fencing club business and her years of experience coaching at Swarthmore College. We look forward to her leadership as we move our fencing program forward.”

Davis comes to Lafayette after a serving as assistant coach at Swarthmore College where she was involved with all aspects of the fencing program. She is also the owner and manager of Liberty Fencing Club in Warrington, Pa. At Liberty Fencing Club, Davis manages the business operations as well as instructing classes and organizing tournaments.
