NCAA Regional Results

Easton, Pa. - Kirby Sports Center hosted 205 of the nation's top fencers on Saturday in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals. The Leopards had 13 student-athletes compete in the event.

In the men's foil, Lafayette's Phillip Manna and Brandon Smith took 30th and 31st, respectively, while Timothy Gaziano tied for 32nd. Manna and Smith each won one bout for the Leopards. On the women's side, Julia Sheng and Alexandra Knobel finished in 30th and 32nd.

Anna-Lisa Ashman took 29th winning a pair of bouts on the day in the women's saber. Maureen Carey won one bout and finished in 32nd, while Leah Hayden placed 35th in the saber. On the men's side Eric Luby and Jake Burns took 30th and 32nd, as Luby earned a victory in the opening round.

In the men's epee Daniel Robitzski had the highest finish for the Leopards, placing 28th, followed by David Jennings in 30th and Conrad Stoerker in 33rd. Robitzski and Jennings each won a bout on the day.  

This was the second straight year Lafayette had at least 10 representatives in the field and the third consecutive year the event was held at Lafayette.
