Fencing Takes Part in MACFA Meet at NJIT

-- The Lafayette men’s fencing team competed at the MACFA round robin tournament, hosted by NJIT. The Leopards earned two victories over Yeshiva while falling to the host Highlanders.

On the foil strips, the Leopards went 16-13, as Bora Mutis led the way with a 7-2 mark in his bouts. The sabers fared the best against NJIT, winning the bout 7-2. Andrew Miller went 2-1 in his duels against the Highlanders, while Patrick Rekeita went 3-0 in his bouts.

Against Yeshiva, Andrew Mange shined going 5-1 in his foil matches. In the epee, Jonathan Rosenblum won two bouts against the Maccabees.

The Leopards return to action on Sunday March 4, when they host the MACFA championships at Kirby Sports Center.
