Helen Davis, an assistant coach at Swarthmore College this past season, has been named the new head fencing coach, Lafayette Director of Athletics Bruce McCutcheon announced Thursday afternoon.

Kirby Sports Center hosted 205 of the nation's top fencers on Saturday in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals. The Leopards had 13 student-athletes compete in the event.

Lafayette struggled at University of Penn, as both the men's and women's fencing teams failed to win a match over the weekend. Junior Daniel Robitzski led the Leopards with eight wins in Epee events.
