Failure to comply with these rules will result in loss of loan privileges for the semester.
Laptop Loan Procedure
HOW TO RESERVE A LAPTOP COMPUTER
Students must reserve a computer by completing a laptop reservation form. Forms are available at the Academic Resource Center, 302 Hogg Hall. The form must be completed and returned to the Academic Resource Center. Due to the limited number of laptops available for team travel, it is strongly recommended that a reservation request be submitted. The Academic Resource Center will not accept reservations more than one week in advance of travel. Laptops will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
All student-athletes must present their current Lafayette College Student ID at the time of check-out. Laptops will be checked out from the Academic Resource Center, 302 Hogg Hall, between the hours of 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday. At this time, you will be required to sign a loan agreement accepting responsibility for the equipment.
HOW TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION FOR A LAPTOP
Reservations must be canceled no later than 9:00a.m. on the day of the team travel. You may call the Academic Resource Center at (610) 330-5098 or you may stop by the office at 302 Hogg Hall. Your failure to contact the Academic Resource Center regarding cancellation will result in automatic suspension of your laptop check-out privilege for the remainder of the semester. Notification of cancellation allows the laptop previously reserved for you to be
assigned to another student-athlete who may have been placed on a wait-list.
HOW TO RETURN THE LAPTOP COMPUTER
Laptop computers must be returned to the Academic Resource Center, 302 Hogg Hall not later than 12:00p.m. the following weekday after the competition. Computers must be fully charged and ready for the next available student-athlete to utilize. Therefore, you are provided with an A/C Adapter at check-out to re-charge the battery upon your return to campus. Nothing is to be saved onto the hard drive of the laptop computers. It is your responsibility to save all material on your personal diskette. The Academic Resource Center will not be responsible for any diskettes left in the laptop once you have returned the equipment.
