Lacrosse Doubleheader Set for Saturday in Fisher

Men battle No. 19/20 Navy at noon, women follow vs. Saint Joseph's at 4 p.m.

Lafayette Men's Lacrosse vs. Navy

- The Leopard men return to Fisher Stadium for their Patriot League home opener on Saturday afternoon, battling No. 19/20 Navy. Lafayette sits 0-1 in conference action following a 12-5 loss to No. 16/17 Army last weekend.

- Lafayette has done well in disciplinary stats this season, sitting second in the Patriot League at just 2.00 penalty minutes per contest. Additionally, the Leopards are atop the Patriot League rankings in turnovers, committing just 14.67 per outing.

- Senior co-captain Conor Walters has led the Leopards offensively through six games, tallying seven goals and a team-best 11 assists for 18 points on the year. Walters' 1.83 assists per game rank him fifth among his Patriot League counterparts.

- The Maroon and White have won just twice against Navy in their history, but one of those victories came two seasons ago. In the teams' most recent matchup at Fisher Stadium, Lafayette stunned the Mids with a 9-8 victory on March 11, 2017.

Lafayette Women's Lacrosse vs. Saint Joseph's

- Lafayette's women have spent each of the last two contests on the road, notching a 13-10 win over Temple on Feb. 26 and falling at Manhattan on March 2, their first loss of the 2019 campaign. The win over Temple was the first for the program against the Owls since 1991, breaking a 23-game skid in the series.

- Sophomore Quinn Lacy has been sensational through four games for the Maroon and White as the Leopard defense ranks atop the Patriot League and fifth in the nation, allowing just 6.50 goals per contest. Lacy's .603 save percentage is third-best in the country, while her 6.73 goals-against average is fifth nationally.

- Offensively, senior Jane Kirby continues to find the back of the net with her 2.75 free-position goals per contest ranking first in the NCAA rankings. Kirby has netted a Patriot League-best 3.75 goals per game this season and her 9.00 shots per game are also tops in the conference rankings.

- The Leopards will travel to Binghamton on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Bearcats, their final non-conference tune-up before Patriot League play. Lafayette opens conference action with Holy Cross at home on Saturday, March 16, with opening draw set for 1 p.m.
