Certification Objectives

Lafayette College is committed to the NCAA certification process and aspires to achieve the following goals:

1. Conduct a broad-based college-wide self-study of Lafayette's athletic program through the participation of members of the Lafayette community including faculty, administration, staff, students, and alumni.
2. Conduct an accurate, complete and thoughtful review of the athletic program at Lafayette that recognizes its many strengths as well as areas that need improvement.
3. Educate members of the Lafayette community on the athletic department's goals and operation through multiple media sources including website and college publications.
4. Demonstrate compliance with NCAA operating principles leading to NCAA certification in the second-cycle.
