Chris Meny is in his sixth year as Associate Athletic Trainer in the Lafayette sports medicine department. His sport contact responsibilities are men's soccer, women's basketball and tennis.
Prior to his arrival on College Hill, Meny spent a year serving as an assistant athletic trainer and clinical instructor at Seton Hall University. At Seton Hall, Meny was responsible for the care and rehabilitation of 135 student-athletes. In addition to working directly with student-athletes, as an instructor, Meny provided graduate students with instruction in clinical competencies and proficiencies.
Since January 2008 Meny has served as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University where he teaches Anatomy and Physiology for healthcare professionals. He continues to be a clinical instructor for several universities.
Prior to his experience in the collegiate ranks, Meny served as an athletic trainer with St. Anthony's High School in Jersey City, N.J. where he worked with one of the top boys' basketball teams in the nation. He also spent time as an athletic coordinator for Bound Brook High School in Bound Brook, N.J. where he monitored and coordinated athlete rehabilitation.
From 2003 to 2005 Meny had clinical experiences at Lafayette and Montclair State where he developed athletic injury prevention and treatment programs. He went on to serve as an intern with the New York Jets where he learned the protocols and procedures of a professional football team.
Meny is a 2006 graduate of Montclair St. University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. He received his masters degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Meny currently lives in Phillipsburg N.J. He is married and has two sons.
