02/09/2012 Winthrop, Kish and Shoop Attend USNA Leadership ConferenceTrio Represents Lafayette at Four-Day Conference Kaitlyn McKittrick is in her sixth year at Lafayette College and her second as Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Services, previously serving for four years as assistant director of athletics for compliance at Lafayette. She also serves as Lafayette's senior woman administrator (SWA). In this role, McKittrick, formerly Cerco, assists in the general administration of the department, oversees all areas of compliance, and serves on a variety of campus and Patriot League committees. In addition, she supervises the field hockey, men's and women's soccer, cross country and track and field, men's and women's lacrosse and fencing teams and oversees the sports medicine department. McKittrick currently serves as the Patriot League representative to the NCAA Legislative Council and has previously served on NACWAA's Legislation and Governance Committee. In the summer of 2011, McKittrick graduated from NACWAA's Institute for Administrative Advancement and in 2012 graduated from the Leadership Enhancement Institute. Before coming to Lafayette, McKittrick spent two years working at the Patriot League office in Center Valley, Pa. She served as the Patriot League's Assistant Director for Sports Management and Compliance from May 2006 through July 2007. McKittrick worked as the primary liaison for institutional compliance coordinators regarding interpretations of NCAA and Patriot League bylaws and policies. McKittrick also oversaw the administration of the league's 23 sports and 22 championships while serving as a contact for five sports. A native of Clarks Summit, Pa., McKittrick earned her bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Business Management from Moravian College in May 2004. McKittrick was a member of the varsity lacrosse team for which she served as an assistant coach from 2005 to 2007. Upon graduation, McKittrick earned her master's degree in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University while working as a graduate assistant with the school's intramural and recreation program. McKittrick currently resides in Emmaus, Pa. with her husband, Matt. |
