Kaitlyn McKittrick is in her ninth year at Lafayette College and her third as Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Women's Administrator, previously serving for four years as assistant director of athletics for and two years as associate director of athletics.
McKittrick manages the daily activity of the department and serves as the top assistant to the director of athletics. She supervises the athletics department staff, mainly through daily interaction with all athletic department senior staff members. McKittrick represents the director of athletics, when determined appropriate, at Patriot League, NCAA and other meetings related to the operation of the athletics department.
McKittrick serves as chief operating officer within Lafayette's Department of Athletics to ensure sufficient advance planning is occurring in the department throughout the year and advancing the department's mission. Specific responsibilities include program management, NCAA compliance, student-athlete services, human resources, admissions, sport oversight, serving as senior women's administrator and direct report for all senior staff members.
McKittrick also currently serves as the Patriot League representative to the NCAA Legislative Council and has previously served on NACWAA's Legislation and Governance Committee. In the summer of 2011, McKittrick graduated from NACWAA's Institute for Administrative Advancement and in 2012 graduated from the Leadership Enhancement Institute. She is currently in the NCAA Pathways Program, an initiative that serves to assist minority and/or women administrators to prepare through education, training and mentorship to be athletic directors.
Before coming to Lafayette, McKittrick spent two years working at the Patriot League office in Center Valley, Pa. She served as the Patriot League's Assistant Director for Sports Management and Compliance from May 2006 through July 2007. McKittrick worked as the primary liaison for institutional compliance coordinators regarding interpretations of NCAA and Patriot League bylaws and policies. McKittrick also oversaw the administration of the league's 23 sports and 22 championships while serving as a contact for five sports.
A native of Clarks Summit, Pa., McKittrick earned her bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Business Management from Moravian College in May 2004. McKittrick was a member of the varsity lacrosse team for which she served as an assistant coach from 2005 to 2007.
Upon graduation, McKittrick earned her master's degree in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University while working as a graduate assistant with the school's intramural and recreation program.
McKittrick currently resides in Emmaus, Pa. with her husband, Matt, and daughter, Cameryn.
