Matt Tedino

Matt Tedino enters his first year as the Athletic Communications Assistant at Lafayette College.

Prior to his arrival at Lafayette, he spent two years as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham, where he served as the secondary contact for the school's 19 varsity sports programs, while also working towards obtaining his MSA in Sports Administration. At FDU-Florham he provided in-game statistics at all home events for the Devils and was responsible for updating and maintaining the school's athletic website. He also served as the host of the school's athletic Youtube video segment "Devils Down Low" and was the primary public address announcer for all sports excluding football.

Before earning his graduate degree, the New Jersey native got his B.S. in Journalism from St. John's University. He spent his senior year interning with the New York Daily News, where he served as a high school sports reporter, covering a multitude of sports across four of the city's five boroughs. He had numerous articles published in the paper's highly recognized sports section, including his coverage of the New York City PSAL High School Football Championship that was held at Yankee Stadium.

While at St. John's, he volunteered with the school's athletic communications department, completing various tasks on a daily basis and serving as a member of the game day personnel for all men's and women's basketball home contests. Tedino also gained valuable experience while working at the 2016 Men's Basketball BIG East Tournament, the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and the 2013 Men's Basketball NIT Tournament.
