Prior to her promotion to associate athletic trainer, Comp spent six seasons as an assistant. During that time she worked with men's and women's basketball, men's soccer and field hockey, along with being responsible for coordinating the instruction, scheduling and supervision of student athletic trainers and student interns.
Comp spent the summer of 1999 serving as a staff athletic trainer for two Lehigh Valley semi-professional teams, the Black Diamonds baseball team and the Steam soccer team. She also worked the Adidas Elite Soccer Program in 1997.
Comp's first stint as a certified athletic trainer came in 1993 when she spent two years as a graduate assistant at Bloomsburg. She provided evaluation and treatment of injuries, designed and implemented rehabilitation protocols, supervised and scheduled student athletic trainers and handled insurance claims and record keeping. Comp holds NATA certification, PA licensure and is a member of the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer's Society, where she was the treasurer in 1999. She is certified by the American Red Cross as a CPR, AED and First Aid instructor and certified as a professional rescuer. Comp also specializes in John F.
