BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lafayette Maroon Club Hall of Fame member Jim Finnen has been a staple in the Lafayette community for years. Now, the legendary voice of the Leopards is trying to earn a spot as the public address announcer for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the new Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, set to begin in the spring.

Finnen was one of nine announcers at yesterday's contest at Starter's Riverside Bar and Grille in Bethlehem, Pa. to become the first voice of the IronPigs.

Finnen has been the public address announcer for Lafayette athletics for over 42 years. He was inducted into the Maroon Club Hall of Fame in 1998 for his service and commitment to the Lafayette community.
