"I'm excited for the opportunity to become a part of Lafayette's athletic department and the college community as a whole," Keenan-Kirkpatrick said. "Lafayette has a tremendous reputation not only for its academics, but also for the tradition of its athletic program. I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead."
In 1994-95, Keenan-Kirkpatrick served as the athletic business manager at Drew University, her first experience in athletic administration. At the same time, she worked as the head men's and women's cross country coach at Drew.
Keenan-Kirkpatrick is a 1989 graduate of Kent State University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Pre Law. She completed her juris doctorate degree from Seton Hall Law School in 1993 and worked as a law clerk and attorney in 1992-93 at O'Toole and Couch in her hometown of Whippany, N.J. Keenan-Kirkpatrick followed that with time as an associate attorney at the firm of DiVenuta and Stanley in Mendham, N.J.
She currently resides in Pittstown, N.J. with her husband Brian and her daughter Libbie. Keenan-Kirkpatrick, who begins working at Lafayette on Aug. 12, replaces Pat Fisher who retired in May.
