Lafayette Appoints New Assistant Athletic Trainer

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Stephanie Conley has been named assistant athletic trainer in a staff which has seen the promotions of Matt Bayly to head athletic trainer and Dawn Schleiden to associate athletic trainer.

The Drexel Hill, Pa., native graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 1995. She was a student athletic trainer for the Marauder athletic program, and became the assistant athletic trainer at Lancaster Catholic High School in Lancaster, Pa., in 1995.

After working as an athletic trainer at Temple University Hospital in 1996, Conley took a full-time position at The Woodlynde School in Strafford, Pa. She worked as a physical and health education teacher for all grades ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade.

"Stephanie has developed an excellent capacity for juggling many tasks simultaneously, having been the sole athletic trainer at Woodlynde for four years," Bayly said. "Her enthusiasm and dynamic personality complement our staff well."

Conley is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society, and is certified in CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross.

"She is an outstanding athletic trainer and I am very confident her comprehension of all aspects of athlete injury management will become an indispensable component of Lafayette Sports Medicine," Bayly said.
