Kaitlyn Cerco Named Lafayette Assistant Director of Athletics

EASTON, Pa. - Kaitlyn Cerco has been named Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance at Lafayette College. Cerco spent the past two years working at the Patriot League office in Center Valley, Pa. She will also serve as Lafayette's senior woman administrator (SWA).

Cerco served as the Patriot League's Assistant Director for Sports Management and Compliance from May 2006 through July 2007. She worked as the primary liaison for institutional compliance coordinators regarding interpretations of NCAA and Patriot League bylaws and policies. Cerco also oversaw the administration of the league's 23 sports and 22 championships while serving as a contact for five sports.

"With her experience at the Patriot League office, Kaity has a keen awareness of our mission here at Lafayette," said Director of Athletics Bruce McCutcheon. "She will be an outstanding addition to our administrative staff."

A native of Clarks Summit, Pa., Cerco earned her bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Business Management from Moravian College in May 2004. Cerco was a member of the varsity lacrosse team for which she served as an assistant coach from 2005 to 2007.

Upon graduation, Cerco earned her master's degree in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University while working as a graduate assistant with the school's intramural and recreation program.

Cerco, who currently resides in Allentown, Pa., is scheduled to begin her new position at Lafayette on Aug. 1.
