EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette Director of Athletics Bruce McCutcheon has been elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Directors Association (FCS ADA). He joins 12 other athletic directors from across the nation on the committee.
"This is an exciting time in intercollegiate athletics and I look forward to working with my FCS ADA colleagues as we advance the experience of football student-athletes during a challenging time," McCutcheon said.
The mission of the FCS ADA, now in its 17th year, is to enhance NCAA Football Championship Subdivision football and provide a collective voice for FCS athletic directors. Montana State University Athletic Director Peter Fields has been chosen to serve as the FCS ADA President in 2009-10.
McCutcheon is a member of several additional committees, including the NCAA Division I Football Championship Committee, the NCAA Division I Football Issues Committee and the Patriot League's Committee on Athletic Administration. He recently completed a four-year stint on the NCAA Academics/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet.
Now in his ninth year as the Director of Athletics at Lafayette, McCutcheon is a member of the National Association of College Directors of Athletics and the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame.
