Brad Potts Named Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

EASTON, Pa. - Brad Potts has been named the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Lafayette College, it was announced on Tuesday.

Potts is a 2005 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), earning his degree in Exercise Physiology. During his time at IUP, Potts earned Division II All-American status at linebacker. He was the captain of the football team and was recognized to the All Conference and All Northeast Region teams. He is a member of the Johnstown Riverhawks, a professional arena league football team.

"We are fortunate to have a strength and conditioning coach of Brad's caliber join our program and we anticipate his immediate impact on our student-athletes," Lafayette athletic director Bruce McCutcheon commented on the hiring.

From March 2005 to August 2006, Potts spent time at the University of North Carolina and University of Georgia, working at both institutions as an intern to the head of strength and conditioning coach.

Most recently, Potts was employed as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Wofford College in South Carolina. He received his master's of science from IUP last summer, garnering his degree in Health Science.

Potts is certified through the USAW as a sports performance coach and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.

Potts will work on and off the field with all of Lafayette's 23 Division I athletic teams.
