EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The 2004 Lafayette College Maroon Club Kick-Off Classic Golf Outing will be held Friday, August 6 at The Club at Morgan Hill in Easton. Entries and sponsorships are being accepted for this day of fun and great golf. The outing includes lunch at noon, a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m., and dinner and prizes at approximately 6:30 p.m. All proceeds from the Maroon Club Kick-Off Classic Golf Outing will go to financial aid for student-athletes, ensuring the continuation of excellence in Lafayette Athletics.
The Club at Morgan Hill, which opened its full course of 18 holes on May 20, offers a par-71, 6,749-yard layout which features breathtaking views and dramatic elevation changes. Owned by Lafayette College graduates Todd and Scott Van Cleef, Morgan Hill offers expansive views of the Delaware River, the picturesque river towns of Easton and Phillipsburg, the rolling farmlands of New Jersey, and the Pocono Mountains.
The final Maroon Club golf tournament of 2004 will be held on Friday, October 8 at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa., site of the 1992 and 2000 U.S. Senior Open.
