EASTON, Pa. - The 2007-2008 academic year was one for the history books for many of Lafayette's 23 varsity sports. The Leopards were Patriot League runners-up in men's soccer, field hockey, women's indoor track and field and softball and 59 individual athletes were recognized with individual Patriot League accolades.

Lafayette's football team produced an All-American in offensive tackle Jesse Padilla on its way to winning a fourth straight victory over Lehigh. Senior track and field athlete Ashley Harbin qualified for the Indoor and Outdoor NCAA Championships and set school and ECAC meet records in the hammer with a throw of 209' 0", putting her in a pool to be selected for the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Seniors Bilal Abdullah and Vanessa Van De Venter and junior Andrew Brown all reached the 1,000-point plateau during the 2007-2008 basketball seasons. Softball's Kristen Ruckno leaves College Hill as the career leader in hits, home runs, RBIs, runs and walks while women's lacrosse's Maddy Booth broke the Patriot League career assists record by tallying 133 over her four-year career.

Now you can re-live all the excitement with a photo gallery and video highlighting the Leopards' accomplishments.
