Register for Lafayette's #RunForBoston

EASTON, Pa.- Lafayette will show its support to those affected by the tragedy at the Boston Marathon by taking part in a "Run for Boston" on May 1 inside Fisher Stadium, the Department of Athletics announced today.

The goal is for the Lafayette community to run a combined total of 294 miles, the distance between the Lafayette campus and Boston Marathon finish line. The event will begin promptly at 5 p.m.

All members of the Lafayette community are encouraged to not only participate, but also wear a blue, yellow or white shirt, the colors of the Boston Marathon.

Registration is five dollars with all proceeds of the run going directly to One Fund Boston, a charity organized to raise money to help those families most affected by Monday's tragic events.

Participants can sign up here or the day of the event.
