EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette student-athletes and coaches will be participating in the "Read Across America" program Thursday and Friday at two area schools.
The Leopards will read to classes at Philip Lauer Middle School on Thursday, March 1, from 12:30-2:30 p.m., and at March School on Friday, March 2, from 10-11:30 a.m.
"The last two years have been a great success with Lafayette's student-athletes probably enjoying the program more than the students themselves," said Lafayette men's soccer coach and assistant to the director of athletic communications Tim Lenahan, who coordinates the Leopards' community outreach projects.
Members of several teams will participate in this year's "Read Across America" program, including several members of Lafayette's basketball teams which will compete in the Patriot League Tournaments in Annapolis, Md. this weekend.
